KERTOMUKSEN AVOIMEKSI JÄTTÄMISESTÄ

Installation

1. Mechanized Puppet, video, soundtrack

2. Poemroom

SYNOPSIS

The work is a media installation combining video image and wooden, mechanized marionette ”actor” with soundtrack.

The approach to work is minimal. The elements repeat their individual cycles creating infinite new combinations of the ”story”.

The characters represent contrasting ideas of playful and painful lives, of youth and old age. A close-up of a young girl’sface appears on the screen. Sometimes she seems to be watching the marionette that has veen placed near the screen. There appears to be a sort of dialogue between the two.

The work includes also a second part. There are five novel poems written on the wall (in finnish or translated into english).
